Have You Tried These Kitchen-Related Hacks From TikTok? Well, You Should!

There comes a time in everyone’s life when they are always short on time. Just take cooking, for example—many people spend hours upon hours just to prepare one dish. Alas, the fault isn’t in the recipe, but rather, in their technique. Thanks to TikTok, many users are sharing their kitchen hacks that not only save time but can be a huge lifesaver as well.

So if you are looking to make your time in the kitchen more efficient and productive, keep on reading!

Here are the top 3 kitchen-related hacks from TikTok.

1.  Separating Egg Yolks from Whites

There are several recipes that require separating egg whites from egg yolks. Any time you attempt to follow those recipes, you have no choice but to go in with your bare hands to try and separate them. Sometimes, you might even break a yolk in the process and have to start all over again. Yes, you can buy a kitchen gadget for it but what about something that is available in every household—a water bottle? To impress your friends with your egg trick, simply take a water bottle and squeeze it before placing the bottle’s opening on the yolk. After that, all you have to do is release the pressure and the yolk will get sucked right up, leaving the egg whites behind on the plate.

2. Getting the Most Out of Your Lemon

Have you ever eyed a particularly juicy-looking lemon, only to be disappointed by the few droplets that you manage to squeeze out after trying your best? Well, there is a trick to it. When you want to get the most out of a lemon, all you have to do is to roll it with some pressure on the table or the counter for a few seconds. This will squish the pulp so that when you cut it open and squeeze, you’ll get a good amount of lemon juice without breaking a sweat.

3. Straining Pasta, the Easy Way

You can pair pasta with any type of protein and enjoy it any type of way, it always works. But one thing that might put people off is the straining part. Usually, once the pasta is boiled and ready to be strained, people will place a strainer in the sink, dump the pot content into the strainer, and then dump the strainer back into the pot once the pasta is water-free. But have you ever wondered why you have to waste time and energy on that extra step? Simply place the strainer on the pot before gently tipping it in the sink. This will get rid of the pasta water and your pasta will stay in the pot. There, that didn’t take more than a few seconds.

These hacks are genius and we bet you can’t wait to try them!
